Whether you are young or old, long haired or short haired, black or white, you have standards when it comes to your sleeping conditions. Unfortunately, I think, I am especially picky when it comes to where I sleep. As much as possible, I do not want to be anywhere else other than my bed when getting some shut eye. However, there came a time when I was booked in this hotel for a business trip, which is an interesting story on its own involving Microsoft and the Windows XP Christmas theme – but let us not go there. For now, I will discuss my love story with cotton, and how getting my hotel sheet collection was just the beginning of it.
In that particular trip, some three years ago, I lied down for the first time on these absolutely exquisite Egyptian cotton sheets, amazing to the touch. I think I forgot about the welcoming party held for my group – strangers in a strange land – that night, and just went off to sleep at 7 p.m. After three days of the seminar, I went back home, but I left my heart in that hotel room. For the first time, my bed felt like a foreign object.
It took me a while to search for a full sheet set that would assuage my newly discovered fetish, if you can call it that. I could not find what I was looking for right away, but then turned online, realizing the huge shopping potential in it. It was there that I found out about reputable hotel supplier Sobel Westex. I was so click-happy when I found their Web site, and was pretty dead sure that the cotton bed linen I had set my sights on was produced by the same maker of the Egyptian cotton sheets I had lain on several months back.
And then I found this cotton duvet cover I liked so much that I could almost eat its picture! Afterwards, it was a happy moment to find the Egyptian cotton sheets I had coveted for so long.
After the package arrived and I had experienced the soundest sleep in my recent memory, I went back to www.sobelwestex.com, to get cotton towels this time. I had purchased cotton towels before in a home depot outlet, but this was different. Its softness remained even after several washings, and it is still almost in brand new condition up to now.
So now my standards for a good night’s sleep have gone up yet again, this time matching that of a five star hotel.
Apart from being very comfortable to lie on and wrap myself in, the duvet I purchased, despite being rather thin, manages to trap all the heat I need even for the coldest night of the year. It is like sleeping next to a fireplace when wrapped in the duvet.
My own recommendation is for you to get your very own hotel sheet collection. And after that, you can find other items to your interest, items which hotels have relied on for their top quality business for decades now.
